2026 Fall Portfolio

The works of Gordon Smith, Amelia Butcher, Arnold Shives, and Marlene Yuen have been brought together in this portfolio to consider the idea of place as both a physical environment and a lived experience. Across painting, printmaking, ceramics, and drawing, each artist approaches place not simply as a location, but as something shaped through memory, community, material, and observation. Their works reveal how landscapes, objects, and histories become vessels for connection, inviting us to reflect on the ways we come to know ourselves, one another, and the environments we inhabit.
