Phantoms in the Front Yard: Over the Counter Culture

Founded in 2010, Phantoms in the Front Yard is a Vancouver-based figurative artist collective. Over the Counter Culture explored the role of drugs (in their various depictions) in our changing society.

Images in the show included those styled after propaganda posters, modern-day advertising, and historical print and painting styles. Phantoms in the Front Yard features Art Perspective artist Michael Abraham, as well as Jeremiah Birnbaum, Jay Senetchko, Paul Morstad, Bruce Pashak, Jonathan Sutton, and Caroline Weaver. The collective has collaborated with curator Pennylane Shen and guest artist James Knight.
