Artists For Kids Exhibitions
Opening each Fall during the school year, selections from the Artists For Kids Teaching Collection are exhibited for school groups, families and the general public at the Gordon Smith Gallery. Selected works share a unifying theme and engage with important art historical, social, cultural, political or environmental issues, presented in an accessible way that invites and encourages meaningful engagement with Canadian art.

Smith Foundation Exhibitions 
During the spring and summer months, the Gordon and Marion Smith Foundation presents professionally curated exhibitions that represent the range of advanced practice in visual arts; publications that provide in-depth explorations of contemporary art; lectures and symposia with leading artists and curators who encourage debate and further understanding; interpretative tools that invite visitors to question, explore and reflect upon their experiences; and programming that incorporates other areas of culture at their intersection with visual art.

Beginning in 2025, The Curatorial Fellowship at the Gordon Smith Gallery is a unique opportunity for an early-career curator to gain hands-on experience in contemporary art curation, with a particular focus on how exhibitions can intersect with art education, providing a platform for individual career growth and furthering sustainable sector development. The fellow works closely with a curator mentor to design and deliver an exhibition in the Spring that showcases Canadian contemporary artists and creates meaningful connections with both young audiences and the broader public. Additionally, they support ongoing projects and help develop accessible opportunities connected to the exhibitions and educational programs.
